BIANCO DELL’UMBRIA

indicazione geografica tipica (IGT)

The dream of a great white wine from the hills of Sagrantino has been rediscovered and finally realised in this Trebbiano Spoletino, a traditional vine of great elegance and charm. This linking thread between past and future was bound to remind us of Armando, Giampaolo’s maternal grandfather who, like this wine, had a generous and resolute character: unique.

Bocca di Rosa

Rosato Dell'Umbria

Indicazione GeoGrafica Tipica (IGT)

“They called her Bocca di Rosa”, a new wine into which the Tabarrini family have poured all their love of the Sagrantino grape, which is so well appreciated that they decided to give a new Rosato version to their fans. Because love can never be a sin… N.B.: “They called her Bocca di Rosa” is the opening line of a popular Italian song by Fabrizio De Andrè. Bocca di Rosa is the subject of the song. She is a "lady of the night" and she dispenses “love” all around …

Montefalco Rosso Boccatone

Denominazione Di Origine Controllata (DOC)

This is not Sagrantino’s younger brother; it is a flavorful and age worthy wine in its own right, with great dignity and much potential. The fusion of traditional grapes, Sangiovese and Sagrantino - along with the precious input of Barbera, ensure this wine has the makings of a future Montefalco classic.

MONTEFALCO SAGRANTINO

DENOMINAZIONE DI ORGINE CONTROLLATA E GARANTITA (DOCG)

This was Giampaolo’s first Sagrantino, which brought him early critical acclaim. The grapes come from a silt-rich and clay soil, well exposed to the southeast, guaranteeing perfectly ripened grapes and a powerful, deep and balanced wine that is refined in big oak casks. It is released no less than four years after harvest.

Campo alla Cerqua

MONTEFALCO SAGRANTINO

DENOMINAZIONE DI ORGINE CONTROLLATA E GARANTITA (DOCG)

The soil of the Cerqua vineyard is stony, looser and lighter than Grimaldesco or Macchie and it enjoys easterly exposure. The wine is aged in large barrels making this Sagrantino more elegant than perhaps any other from the region of Montefalco. It is a relaxing wine, oozing with minerality, highlighting the individual identity of the vineyard and resulting in a joyous and very aromatic complexity. Marketed no less than four years after harvest.

Colle alle Macchie

MONTEFALCO SAGRANTINO

DENOMINAZIONE DI ORGINE CONTROLLATA E GARANTITA (DOCG)

This Sagrantino is not for the fainthearted. A product of deep clay and a magnificent southern exposure, the wine is made from grapes of exceptional maturity. The Colle alle Macchie is a muscular and powerful red, more complex than his Sagrantino brothers. Macchie is a wine of superb longevity that can only get better with age.

Montefalco Sagrantino Passito

Denominazione Di Origine Controllata E GARANTITA (DOCG)

Passito is actually the original and most traditional style of Sagrantino wine. It represents a sort of rare and charming oenological Sagrantino pearl. The grapes are left to dry on racks for three months after harvest, after which they are pressed to obtain this sweet and precious nectar.

Tabolio

OLIO EXTRA VERGINE DI OLIVA

Born from the olive tree groves of the Tabarrini property, originally intended only to meet their own needs and offer as a treat to winery visitors, Tabolio is now shared on very limited commercial basis. It is obtained from the pressing of Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoiano olives, which are three indigenous cultivars of the area, all rich in natural antioxidant properties. This is a tasty, complex and precious extra virgin olive oil and another great tradition of the Montefalco area.
