This was Giampaolo’s first Sagrantino and one that brought him early critical acclaim. The grapes come from a silt and clay-rich soil, well exposed to the southeast, guaranteeing perfectly ripened grapes and a powerful, deep and balanced wine that is refined in large oak casks. It is released no less than four years after harvest.
